High-performance filter cake breaker for starch–xanthan filter cakes in drilling fluids, designed to maximize wellbore productivity while ensuring environmental and HSE compliance.
PETROLIZE® HTA is a super-concentrated, high-temperature-stable alpha-amylase enzyme formulation engineered for efficient and uniform degradation of starch-xanthan filter cakes typically formed in oilfield reservoir drill-in fluids. The formulation maintains performance under harsh downhole conditions up to 130°C (250°F) and across a wide pH range (3–10).
Conventional acid or oxidizer-based breakers often result in incomplete removal of filter cakes, causing worm-holing, screen plugging, and formation damage. PETROLIZE® HTA provides a safer and more controlled enzymatic approach. Specifically targets starch and xanthan biopolymers, hydrolyzing them into soluble sugars. This reaction ensures even degradation of the filter cake along the wellbore, allowing bridging materials to disperse efficiently and restoring unrestricted formation flow.
