Description
Epygen Papyrase BBL is an engineered purified Xylanase for aggressive Lignin attack at a wide range of pH and temperature conditions.
Bleach Boosting Enzymes
By using Epygen’s specially designed recombinant Xylanase functioning at a wide range of Temp & pH, it is possible to obtain a partial hydrolysis of the hemicellulose precipitated onto pulp fibre during alkaline cooking process. This Enzyme loosens the Xylan linkages, rendering Lignin easier to remove by bleaching chemicals. As a result of Papyrase BBL treatment of pulp, it is possible to:
- Attain higher brightness pulp using lesser chlorine or chlorine dioxide.
- Reduce chemical cost.
- Improved fibre properties and reduced AOX levels.
