Enzymatic Mud Breakers for Starch-Xanthan Muds

Depending on the nature of clean Drill-in fluid used, Starch, Xanthan, and Sized Calcium Carbonate / Salt based drill-in fluid would deposit an impermeable filter cake on the borehole wall. This barrier must be completely broken in order to maximize production rates. Epygen PETROLIZE HTA is a High Temperature stable Alpha Amylase, which, depending on the well temperature will break down starch into simple sugars within 1 to 10 hours time, breaking down the integrity of the filter-cake evenly, allowing the bridging agent to disperse efficiently and cleanly.

This property of efficient but specific hydrolysis results in a breaker that can be pumped evenly down the length of the wellbore, without localized reactivity, as it systematically liquefies the filter-cake and finally promotes even and unrestricted drainage of the reservoir.

To efficiently hydrolize Cellulosic component used in the clean Drill-in fluid, Epygen developed PETROLIZE CL, a medium to high temperature stable Cellulase (Endo-glucanase and Cellobiohydrolase) which, depending on the well temperature and pH will break down PAC component or, cellulosic biopolymer of the mud damage into simple sugars within 1 to 10 hours (proposed 5 hours shut in period) time, breaking down the integrity of the filter-cake evenly, allowing the bridging agent to disperse efficiently and cleanly.

Usage levels of PETROLIZE CL will depend on nature of clean up fluid, pH, downhole temperature and bio-polymer mix, between 5 to 20 Liters per 1000 Liters of Clean-up fluid.

Enzymatic Mud Breaker for Guar Derivatives Based Mud

A Hemicellulase enzyme, primarily a Mannanase, suitable to work at high down-hole temperatures is required to break mud or filter-cake cast by a Guar Based Biopolymer Calcium Carbonate / Salt based drill-in fluid deposit.

PETROLIZE MN is a medium to high temperature stable Galacto-Mannanase which, either on its own or in conjunction with other enzymes, depending on the well temperature and pH, will break down Guar based biopolymer of the Frac-Gel or Mud Damage into simple sugars within 1 to 10 hours (proposed 5 hours shut in period) time, breaking down the integrity of the filter-cake evenly, allowing the bridging agent to disperse efficiently and cleanly.
